ABO: Education Committee

Heyy there! You might have already heard about the education committee of BeeVee named ABO! When you have complaints about your study or courses, you can mail us and we will try to address it. We do this by going into discussion with the course coordinator to make sure the issue gets resolved.

On top of that, we also organise many fun and useful workshops that people can learn much from! Our biggest activity is the Parentsday, in which students can come to the university with their parents to show what they have done every quarter.
So if you are interested in ABO, don’t hesitate to approach us and look at our webpage!
Love, ABO

Ac: Alumni Committee

Ac, the Alumni Committee, organises activities for members to come in contact with alumni and learn about the careers and stories they have. Ac also writes a special newsletter for alumni about BeeVee and the activities that are of interest for members.

If you want to know more about Ac, you can visit their page.

ATP: Sports Committee

ATP, which stands for activation through performance, is the sports committee of BeeVee. We provide various sports activities throughout the year to compensate for all the parties and biologist evenings that are being held. Because we know as true students that eating snacks and drinking beer is anything but healthy.

That is why we organize well-know and less-know sports activities, to provide you a healthy dose of sports.
So are you an enthousiastic, fun and sporty biologist? Make sure to join our open meeting on the 22nd! You can send an email to atpbeevee@gmail.com
You can read more about ATP here

BOS: Travel Committee

Biologists can be found all over the world, specialized in many different fields. They are inherently curious and adventurous people, researching all kinds of organisms from even the most remote areas on the planet. This is why BeeVee has its own travel committee: BOS! We try to organize a study trip each year, for the adventurous BeeVee members who want to experience biology in another country. Over the years, we have organized trips to all kinds of countries, such as Ireland, Sweden and Poland. Are you interested in organizing study trips? You can sign up for a try-out meeting by sending an email to beevee_bos@science.ru.nl, to get a taste of what organizing a study trip is like! You can also visit the BOS-page on the BeeVee site.

DIAFRAGMA: Photo & Film Committee

Have you ever been busy capturing an extraordinary sight on camera while you were on a vacation? Or have you ever seen someone blunder and wished you would have filmed it? Are you often thinking of that party you went to and were you glad that a lot of pictures were taken? Yes? So are we! That is where DIAFRAGMA arose from. We try to capture as many moments as possible inside and outside BeeVee. Without mercy. If you are interested email us at beevee_diafragma@science.ru.nl or visit our webpage.

Fc: Party Committee

Hey u, like partying? Sign up for Fc by mailing beevee_fc@science.ru.nl wanna know more about us visit our webpage.

With festive greetings,
Colin
Chairman of Fc

Kultuur: Culture Committee

As an international student, I know that it might be a bit hard to meet new people, but that’s what a committee does. It helps people that share the same passions and interests come together. And that’s Kultuur is all about; bringing people together through cultural activities! So, if you have fun with organizing a movie night, a cultural tour through Nijmegen, an open mic, or many creative workshops, then this is the right committee for you!
-Maria (chairwomen)

If you're interested in Kultuur, visit their webpage.

MOTjE et Al.: Writing & Yearbook Committee

MOTjE et Al. publishes the bi-monthly MOTjE, which is the magasine for BeeVee, and it's free. They also make the yearbook, Almanac, which gives a overview of the past year.

If you want to read more about MOTjE et Al. You can do so here.

PRAC: Borrel Committee

PRAC organises borrels for all members to come to and enjoy. Often people can orded food for these social drinks and the members of PRAC run the bar.

If you want to know more about PRAC, you can find it here.

SPIn: Website Committee

SPIn stands for Site Perfecting Internet (users), which means this committee is occupied with the maintenance of the BeeVee website. Basically, we make sure the site pages stay up-to-date! Because of this, we can help all other committees with (promoting) their activity. If you want to know more about the activities we organise, such as LAN-parties and laser gaming, please look at our committee page. To sign up for the open meeting, fill in this form.

Symci: Symposium Committee

Symci is the symposium committee of BeeVee. Every year we organise a symposium, which is accessible for everyone with biological interest. One biological theme will be the centre of attention during this day and renowned lecturers from over the whole country will come to speak about this theme. Next to this we also organise lunch lectures about current subjects and guided tours during the year. At our meetings there is a good mix between being serious and having a lot of fun together.
Are you interested in becoming a member? Let us know by sending an email to beevee_symci@science.ru.nl! You can read more about Symci here.

VACUOLES: Excursion & Games Committee

VACUOLES ( Vaste Activiteiten Commissie voor Universitair Onderwijs Leuke Excursies en Spelletjes) offers a wide variety of activitees! VACUOLES organizes an abundant number of ecological themed activities like a bird-excursion, a mushroom-excursion, a zoo-excursion and a night-excursion, but also beer-tastings! Besides excursions, VACUOLES is extremely active on another level which a right-minded biologist should be familiar with since they wore diapers; games! Everything from Gotcha to Who Is the Mole, a yearly pool-competition, VACUOLES has it all! If you would like to be part of this amazing committee, don’t hesitate to contact us to sign up for the open meeting!
